The Stone Garden of Nukain Mabuza is considered by experts in outsider art circles as one of only 44 global examples of environmentally based outsider art. In the 1970`s & early 80`s Nukain`s Stone Garden, or `Garden of Flowers` as he liked to call it, attracted tourists from around the world. Since his death in 1981 the garden has succumbed to the environment and little is left of the artistic masterpiece. Nevertheless it has inspired local and international artists alike. With Nukain inspired painted rocks adorning the entrance gates of Barberton and Tony Winning play write Athol Fugard`s `The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek` showing in New York and Los Angeles.
