The 4th Mbombela Jazz Festival is proud to announce the gospel segment themed Hope Arise Gospel Concert to be hosted at the Communio Church just behind Ilanga Mall in Mbombela on October 30, 2021.

The Hope Arise Gospel Concert will see international acclaimed artist Pastor Solly Mahlangu perform for the people of Mpumalanga. He will be supported by other local artists like Pretty Mhlongo and many more.

An American human rights activist, Dr Martin Luther King once said “Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent an delightful presents God has given us” His words will give a meaning to the annual gospel concert which will be hosted as a build up to the much loved Mbombela Annual Jazz Festival.

The main objective of the festival is to promote social cohesion, nation building, tourism and economic development.

Mbombela Jazz Festival continues to be a major highlight in the arts, tourism and entertainment calendar of Mpumalanga province and the country at large. Job creation and economic upliftment remains some of the cornerstone of staging this festival. During the period of the festival, a number of services will be rendered with the aim of creating job opportunities amongst the local communities.

We would like to urge gospel lovers to purchase their tickets for the Hope Arise Gospel Concert in advance as they will not be sold at the venue. In order to comply with the COVID-19 regulations, a limited number of tickets will be sold at R250 from Ticketpro, Spar, Postnet and Edgars.
