The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) is currently running its winter campaign aimed at encouraging the domestic tourism market to visit Mpumalanga this winter season.
The campaign encourages locals to come and visit the serene, tranquil and warm Mpumalanga and take advantage of various affordable packages advertised on our social media platforms as well as various print media and radio stations.
The campaign is aimed at both trade and tourism consumers who travel to visit friends and relatives, for leisure and other purposes.
This year’s theme is “Warm and Sunny Mpumalanga” which indicates that winter is still the best time to visit the warm and sunny province like Mpumalanga with limited rainfalls and cooler temperatures. The province has diverse tourism offerings that visitors can enjoy like amongst others hiking on some on the most scenic routes.
Our objective with this campaign is to grow the domestic trips and regional arrivals to the destination; create awareness on Mpumalanga’s hidden gems, the less visited tourism offerings as well as promote affordable tour packages.
The campaign kicks off with radio and print media promotions and competitions that will afford people an opportunity to win prizes that will give them a chance to come and experience the scenic beauty, adventure, culture, heritage as well as wildlife activities available in the province. The campaign will run until end of July 2022.
