MPUMALANGA TOURISM CELEBRATES MANDELA DAY WITH THE COMMUNITY OF NUMBI

,

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) together with Tourism Safety Stakeholders today celebrated Mandela Day at George Mhaule Primary School in the Numbi area by embarking on a clean-up campaign and giving back to the local community of Numbi.

The celebration saw the MTPA collaborating with the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Kruger National Park, Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Nkambeni Safari Lodge as well as Mdluli Lodge.

The celebrations included a clean-up campaign on various sites leading to Numbi, planting of indigenous trees as well as donation of food parcels to five of the day care as well as home based care centres around the Numbi area.
This year’s Mandela Day focused on promoting safety and cleanliness around our communities as well as indigenous tree planting.

Every action counts and all stakeholders involved took part in giving back to the local community of Numbi.
