The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency would like to apologise to the community of Nkangala District for the last minute change of the venue for the Emalahleni Kids Festival that was hosted on Saturday, 1 October 2022.
The event was initially scheduled to take place at the Witbank Dam and due to unforeseen circumstances; the event was moved to JL Tranquillity Lodge at Duvha Park.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused due to the change of venue. The event was scheduled as part of wrapping up our Tourism Month progamme.
During the month of September, we were able to showcase various tourism offerings in the province and encourage our local communities to travel and explore what is on offer. We look forward to hosting more events in the region aimed at promoting tourism. These initiatives will in future be coordinated in a better manner and timeously in order to ensure that we build on this new brand that has the potential to increase tourist numbers in the region by bringing families and communities together in a safe environment.
As we start with our preparations for the festive season, we will be collaborating with various stakeholders including local municipalities and the regional tourism organisations in the province to ensure that we all speak in one voice when promoting destination Mpumalanga. Our product owners and tour operators will continue to offer affordable packages and new tourism products that will encourage people to travel.
