Follow along as we explore #myMpumalanga with six influencers

Known as the Place Where the Sun Rises, Mpumalanga holds a special place in many-a heart. Whether the connection is based on our protected spaces where wildlife can roam safe and free, the spectacular views accompanying almost every road, the rich cultural diversity or the hospitality of our people, it’s a province that welcomes the world with open arms.

While Mpumalanga may have fans in all corners of the globe, there is one group we hold especially dear.

“As we commemorate our greatest national icon, Tata Madiba’s 100th birthday later this month, we’d like to invite our fellow South Africans to rediscover this colourful corner of Mzansi,” said Xolani Mthethwa, Head of Tourism for Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency.

INFLUENCER CAMPAIGN

So, in honour of this, we’ll be launching the #myMpumalanga domestic tourism campaign this month with an exciting road trip. Six influencers will be making their way from Johannesburg through Mpumalanga for an unforgettable five-day journey.

They will uncover the region’s hidden gems, meet the people who give such personality to the region and will share their experiences with the rest of South Africa through stories, images and video.

The campaign shines the spotlight on a number of unique experiences along Mpumalanga’s six incredible visitor routes with plenty adventure and opportunities to connect with locals, dance to the rhythm of traditional drums, feast on delicious local cuisine and snap a few Instagram worthy views
