The water is sourced from a spring at the top of the mountain and is gravity fed to the lodge and flows by gravity through five pools and is then returned to the stream. Beautiful spring water in every tap and pool. Not forgetting the outdoor shower with a truly breathtaking view.The garden, with spectacular views over the whole valley features an open-air shower and secluded niches for meditation. Guests may roam freely among a wide variety of birds and wild life living in a range of habitats from riverine valleys to ancient woodlands.The wild life population consists of rhino, giraffe, leopard, kudu, wildebeest, zebra, impala, grey and red duikers, bushbuck, mountain rhebuck, klipspringer, warthogs, bush-pigs and all the many smaller animals and carnivores, including monkeys and baboons. There is also a large and varied bird life, including forest and open veldt species.Boondocks nestles in the centre of a 100 square kilometre conservancy. Boondocks itself overlooks a large valley with low hills, lying in a great amphitheatre of beautiful mountains. It is covered in typical bushveld with magnificent and varied riverine forest in the kloofs and along the stream beds.The Labyrinth offers a quiet time of personal reflection in a natural setting – a unique experience!
