Petra Mountain Retreat & Conference Centre offers spacious double en-suite bedrooms with very comfortable beds and tea/coffee making facilities. They are warmly welcoming rooms and a generous continental breakfast basket allows you the freedom to decide where and when you have your breakfast. All the bedrooms are non-smoking rooms. For those with young children we have a couple of adjoining bedrooms with an inter-leading door allowing the privacy of your own room with peace of mind for your children.Petra Mountain Retreat was built as a hotel in the fifties. The bedrooms were built on both sides of a passage which runs along the ridge of the spectacular Legogote Mountain. Not only are the views magnificent, but the windows are tree-top height giving one a bird’s eye view of life in the trees.There are many restaurants in White River and the surrounding area, ranging from reasonably priced family type restaurants to upmarket gourmet establishments. We will be delighted to advise and make bookings for you at any of these establishments. Generally Petra Mountain Retreat does not serve dinners, but if you would like to have dinner here, we would appreciate 24 hours notice. White River is not in the malaria belt. There is no need to take prophylactics unless you are intending to spend time in the Kruger National Park.
