Award winning vygenhoek organic spa is the first dedicated organic spa in this country and recognised as one of the top 10 spas here.Vygenhoek is set in the serene country setting of the trout village of dullstroom and our guests are pampered in an extraordinary environment to a holistic, organic wellness experience, an experience that through its organic nature, adds a sense of luxurious inner peace to even the most discerning.The spa was conceptualised around holistic wellness, using carefully selected, organically pure products and treatments, to be enjoyed in the spectacular country setting of the dullstroom hills. a hand-picked product range used in treatments and available in the retail section guarantees a total absence of chemical preservatives, petroleum by-products, synthetic fragrances and colourants, and forms a central pillar of the vygenhoek ethos.Meals and beverages that form part of our treatment packages are seasonal (and thus more nutritious) and selected with the organic content uppermost in mind. the agriculture practiced on the vygenhoek estate, which presently focuses mainly on lavender and rosemary cultivation, is also conducted through firm organic principles. the oils distilled from the harvested plants are used in the treatments offered and this enhances the unique experience associated with the spa.In planning and constructing the spa it was important, where possible, to integrate this organic approach in all stages of the building process, from concept design, through technical phases, to site management. the vygenhoek organic spa complex and treatment areas were designed to incorporate traditional building techniques, integrating locally sourced rock from previously disturbed areas, natural paints and unvarnished woods. finishing was also done using traditional procedures and products with a minimal environmental footprint.Vygenhoek organic spa was created with passion for the environment and the holistic experience and our guests can choose from an enriching, therapeutic selection of purely organic treatments.
