The Tumbleweed Backpackers and Self Catering Suites in Dullstroom lies amidst the Mpumalanga Highlands Meander, known as the Trout fly-Fishing 'Mecca' in South Africa. Gauteng and the Kruger National Park are within close proximity. The main village is within an easy walking distance.The upstairs unit has 2 single beds and 2 double bunks, en-suite bathroom facilities with a shower and a fully equipped kitchenette. There is a furnished outdoor covered barbeque area, boasting magnificent country views. The downstairs unit has 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom facility with a bathtub and shower. This unit has a fully equipped kitchenette. The property opens on to the beautiful garden, surrounded by country views. Bedding is included in this rate but it is advised to take extra blankets for the chilly Dullstroom nights, especially in winter. There is a PVR DSTV. Activities include fly fishing in the surrounding trout farms and rivers, nature reserve walks, hikes, bird watching, game walks, horse-riding and clay pigeon shooting. Adventure sports include bunjee jumping, swing jumps, kloofing, abseiling, zip line, white water river rafting and river tubing.There are over 30 local restaurants and pubs in and around Dullstroom. Visit the quaint village for arts crafts, gifts and curios. Experience whiskey tasting at its best in this area. There are also many health spas in the surrounding vicinity.
