Mountain Trout Lodge is a 3* property situated between Carolina and Badplaas (Mpumalanga). This 3* property offers two full dams for trout fishing.Things to see and do in the area include hiking God’s Window, the Pinnacle view point, Bourke’s Luck potholes, the Echo Caves, Mac Mac Falls, Berlin and Lisbon Falls, Blyde River Canyon, Sudwala Caves, visiting Graskop and doing the big swing, Shangana Cultural Village, Pilgrim’s Rest, mountain biking, hot air ballooning, quad biking, bird watching, 4x4 trails, game parks such as the Kruger National Park, elephant interaction and skyway trails.Mountain Trout Lodge offers self catering accommodation in a double storey house (can sleep 10 to 12) with thatch building attached that offers five double bedrooms, three bathrooms with two showers, lounge with fireplace, dining room and open plan kitchen. The Fisherman’s Cottage can sleep four in two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchenette and lounge with fireplace. The Main House (by Nyange Dam) offers accommodation for 6 people with two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and lounge. There is a one bedroom unit that offers double bed, bathroom and kitchenette.This 3* property also offers 2 Trout Dams, upcoming restaurant, bar and wooden deck, views of the Homestead and Nyange Dam.
