The SS Skhosana Nature Reserve, the cultural heartlands of the vibrant Ndebele Tribe is a protected area just outside of Bronkhorstspruit and well worth a day visit or weekend getaway!

Only 80km’s outside of Bronkhorstspruit, the SS Skhosana reserve is surrounded by granite outcrops that shape the landscape and give it a warm red glow with the sun beating down, and as it is a protected region, you’ll be spoiled by wonderful fauna and flora as well as buck to gaze at.

Featuring Tsessebe, Wildebeest, Zebra, Kudus, as well as abundant birdlife, a trip to SS Skhosana nature reserve is sure to be a feast for the eyes, and one in which your bird book gets many new ticks on wildlife spotted! Don’t forget your binoculars at home, as you’ll need them to spot the amazing nature on display, across this 1800 hectare area.

The birdlife in the area tend to nest in rocky ridges or the crevices of the granite rock, ensuring that birdlife is well protected and maintained through the many seasons.
