CENTRALISED PERMITS AND CITES

The Permit and CITES unit is responsible for the management and control of Provincial, CITES and TOPS permit systems and database, the implementation and regulation of international treaties and conventions, act as issuing Authority for CITES and manage and control Ivory and Rhino horn stockpiles. Attend to project applications and registrations (Endangered species breeding, CITES exports and monitor compliance. Issue CITES tags for quota listed species and register products (ivory and rhino horn).
