Easter holidays are around the corner and the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency will roll out its Easter campaign from 4 March – 30 April 2019.
This year’s campaign will see a number of radio adverts being flighted on various radio stations as well a social media platforms with the aim of creating awareness of various affordable packages available and further encouraging domestic tourists to visit Mpumalanga.
The various travel packages will be available from MTPA’s website, with a direct link to Shotleft. Amongst other planned initiatives, the MTPA will embark on various mall activations to promote the destination as well as various offerings at our provincial nature reserves.
“The highlight of the campaign will be the hosting of the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Experience in partnership with Makhabs Enterprise/Big Fish Arts and Metro FM on 13 April 2019. The aim of this event is to create awareness about gender based violence, pray for road safety during the Easter period and for social cohesion as we prepare for the 2019 national elections”, said Mr Xolani Mthethwa, Executive Manager Tourism.
“Events play a significant role in creating awareness about any tourism destination. There are people who travel not only for leisure purposes or for relaxation but for entertainment as well. Easter is a period where people from all walks of life take a moment to travel for religious purposes, hence our decision to leverage on this event in order to draw huge numbers to the province”, added Mthethwa.
We would like to encourage people to visit www.mpumalanga.com and follow us on all our social media platforms for Easter specials and packages. Come to Mpumalanga and experience the natural wonders on offer.
