DITSIBI PUBLISHERS, publishers of the official MTPA magazine, Scenic Mpumalanga, joined forces with a Pretoria gym, FITNESS JUNCTION and is launching a campaign promoting fitness activities at tourism venues in Mpumalanga. It is aimed at fitness centres in and around townships and rural areas. The campaign will be promoted on social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
Covid 19 has paradoxically, opened a door for the tourism industry to introduce South Africans to South Africa. Domestic travel decreased by 10 million by the end of 2015 (source Dept. Of Stats.Sa). Now is the time to vigorously promote SA to its residents as "the world in one country"
This campaign will, in a small way, introduce Mpumalanga in a way never done before. Due to the Covid pandemic, gym activities have obviously been curtailed and the obvious solution is supplementary fitness activities in the open. Emphasis is on hiking and adventure activities but simultaneous participation in the scenic, wildlife, historical, geological activities Mpumalanga offers.
A typical 2 night itinerary will include the following:
Accommodation in glamping type venue, offering full board
Wildlife viewing drives
Minimum 2 hiking trails, one easy, the other challenging
Outdoor activities, ie cycling, kloofing, canoeing, white water rafting, rock climbing etc.
Viewing wildlife from a hot air balloon...and much more
AND FOR THE BRAVE ONLY..a guided hike in the Kruger Park!
Accommodation venues vary from basic, right up to 5 star glamping..dinner will always be under the stars (weather permitting).
