The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has prioritized to celebrate Mandela Day with the disabled kids from Hlayisekani Disabled Centre in Hluvukani. The centre is located next to the Manyeleti Nature Reserve.

Hlayisekani Disabled Centre has 23 disabled learners. Following an assessment conducted by MTPA it was clear that teh centre needed to be revamped by fixing the windows, plastering the walls and fixing the floor and putting new doors. Over and above that, chairs, tables and pots were purchased for use by the centre. It was further realized that the centre needed to have wheelchair and a walking frame to assist the learners.

Today's celebration was supported by MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Chairperson of the MTPA board, Mr thulani Nzima and other Board Members, management from AM Lodge and Manyeleti Concessionaries ie. Tintswalo Safari Lodge, Honeyguide Tented Safari Camps, Distinctly Africa and Buffelshoek Ndzhaka Tented Camps.
