Mpumalanga tourism stakeholders to hold urgent consultative Indaba

Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism recently hosted an engagement with the National Minister of Tourism, Ms Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane where Kruger Lowveld Ehlanzeni presented a petition, where, amongst other things, the organisation suggested an improvement in communications and engagement between the private sector and government.
Following those engagements, Kruger Lowveld Ehlanzeni Tourism, SATSA and the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency will, together with other key tourism industry role players both in the province and nationally, host a Mpumalanga Tourism Stakeholders consultative Indaba.
The Indaba is envisaged to discuss tourism safety; tourism transformation and the general state of tourism infrastructure, such as roads, the state of attractions and tourism development in general.
The consultative Indaba is scheduled to take place on 30 and 31 August 2019.

Attendance will be by invitation only.

Both private and public sector are fully committed to the process and are confident that they will achieve practical, sustainable solutions to all the issues presented.
Several agreements are expected to come out of this Indaba, which will be officially signed on Tourism Day, the 21st September 2019.
