Day 1:
Your guide will meet you on arrival in Johannesburg at OR Tambo International Airport. Depart to Pretoria for a city tour that includes the Voortrekker Monument, Church Square and Union Buildings. Lunch in Pretoria, before checking-in at our charming little lodge near the airport. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
Accommodation: Journey’s Inn Africa *** (D)

Day 2:
Travel via Middelburg, Lydenburg and “Robbers Pass” to Hazyview situated in the province of Mpumalanga.Visit the old gold rush town of Pilgrim’s Rest a museum in its entirety. Overnight in Hazyview.
Accommodation: Hippo Hollow Country Lodge *** (B)

Day 3:
Travel the “Panorama Route” of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains, admire the natural beauty of the Blyde River Canyon - third deepest canyon in the world, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. Depending on availability - Enjoy an evening of African culture with singing, dancing and dinner at Shangana, a traditional Shangaan village, meet the chief with his 3 wives and 36 children. Overnight in Hazyview.

Day 4:
Depart for the world-renowned Kruger National Park (KNP), first pay a visit to Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Center and Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (Kapama Cheetah Breeding & Research Centre). Enter the park through Orpen Gate. Dinner can be enjoyed at the camps restaurant. Overnight in the KNP.
Accommodation: Satara Camp *** (B)

Day 5:
Enjoy a full day in the KNP in search of the “Big 5” and a host of other animals. Travel to the southern section of the KNP. Dinner will be a traditional “braai” - barbeque, prepared by your guide. Overnight in the park.
Accommodation: Lower Sabie Camp *** (B & D)
Optional activities: Evening or sunset game drive with the parks ranger.

Day 6:
Transfer to KMIA in order to catch your direct flight back to Johannesburg or on to Cape Town.
