Orchards Farm Cottages

4 star rating

Orchards Farm Cottages consists of seven high quality cottages which are fully equipped for self catering. Breakfast is also available at an extra cost if required. Highest standards of comfort and cleanliness are kept.

The beautifully kept gardens stretch all the way to the riverbanks of the picturesque Komati River, which is a bird lovers' paradise. Keep a lookout for the occasional hippo and crocodile, and the elusive dwarf mongoose families that occasionally cross the lawns. Vervet monkeys visit in mango and litchee season!

Breakfast is served on the comfortable reception deck at the swimming pool, overlooking the riverfront.

All guided excursions to the Kruger Park, Maputo, Swaziland or the Panorama Route can be arranged for you, including elephant interactions, Elephant back safaris, microlighting, quad biking, game walks etc on nearby game farms or the Kruger Park. These need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

All cottages are fully self catering units with air-conditioning and fans, electric stoves with ovens, fridges, microwave ovens, cutlery/crockery, as well as Hotel Suite DSTV (separate decoder per cottage). Vodacom 3G reception is available on the property.

PLEASE NOTE: The Kruger Park South area is a malaria area, and precautions must be taken.

Directions
DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG N4

100 km east from Nelspruit, 50 km from
Malelane and 28 km after Hectorspruit. When you get to the turn-off to the town of Komatipoort
DO NOT TURN OFF THE N4! We are 1 km from the turnoff and the SASOL garage, and a few
meters after the Komati River Bridge. As you get to the end of the bridge, put your indicator on
and prepare to turn left through the white entrance structure with Orchards Farm Cottages on
them. Follow the arrows (about 200meters). Park under carport.

DIRECTIONS FROM KRUGER PARK CROCODILE BRIDGE GATE

The town of Komatipoort is 11
km from the Kruger Park Crocodile Bridge exit. Drive straight through the town until you get to the
N4. At the N4, turn LEFT toward the Mozambique border post od Ressano Garcia. We are 1 km
from the turnoff and the SASOL garage, and a few meters after the Komati River Bridge. As you
get to the end of the bridge, put your indicator on and prepare to turn left through the white
entrance structure with Orchards Farm Cottages on them. Follow the arrows (about 200meters).
Park under carport.

DIRECTIONS FROM MOZAMBIQUE BORDER POST

Drive approximately 3 km down the N4, past
the turn-off left to Mananga/Swaziland. On the bend in the road look out for the Hippo sign on the
left - the entrance to Orchards Farm Cottages is directly opposite on the right. This is an 80
km/per hour zone, but a number of drivers seem to ignore this, so please take care to put your
car's indicators on well before the bend.
