They say there are five ‘F’s in Dullstroom, I found seven in this little town that really does deserve its big reputation.

Just outside Nelspruit on the R40 towards Barberton is a sanctuary like no other, an Eden for abused, abandoned and abducted chimpanzees taken over by an icon of conservation.

At 8am every Saturday, people from around the globe are joining a movement. A cause that is all about getting people outside, encouraging them to be healthier and inspiring better life style choices. Undeterred by bad weather, the haze from the Friday night before, or the temptation to simply stay in bed, literally thousands of people across the globe are pulling on their kit, tying up their trainers and heading out for a Park Run.

This really is the boutique shopping experience at its best. Whether it is an original artworks by some of South Africa’s most respected artists, artisan chocolates, gorgeously crafted antique furniture or special occasion underwear, the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre has something for you.

Nelspruit is a city of sports fans, a place where rugby jumpers, football shirts and cricket tops are worn with pride. But, when it comes to rugby things are changing. While five years ago the question to a “Nelspruiter” would be “are you a ‘Lion’, ‘Shark’ or ‘Bull’?”, now it is, “why aren’t you a Puma?”
