Mpumalanga Tourism & Parks Agency was established in terms of the Mpumalanga Tourism & Parks Agency Act 2005.

The objective of the Agency is to provide for the management and promotion of responsible tourism and nature conservation in the Province and to ensure sustainable utilisation of natural resources for the benefit of everyone in the province.

  • Promote tourism growth by increasing the number of both domestic and international tourists.
  • Broaden the participation of historically disadvantaged individuals (HDIs) in the tourism industry.
  • Ensure sustainable development and the management of the environment.
